Introduction and Overview
The Roll Call feature in NemoVote allows administrators to monitor in real-time which voters are currently logged into the platform. This tool is especially helpful during live elections, giving admins a clear overview of voter engagement and activity.
This article explains how the feature works and its benefits.
How the Roll Call Feature Works
The Roll Call feature is designed to provide a simple yet powerful overview of voter activity. It includes three main sections: filters, status counts, and a detailed voter list.
Filter by Voter List
At the top of the Roll Call view, administrators can choose whether to display:
- All voters (from the "All Voters" list), or
- Voters from a specific voter list.
This filter makes it easy to focus on relevant groups during elections.
Real-Time Online Status
The Roll Call view displays three key data points:
- Online voters: Shown on the left-hand side with a live count of currently logged-in voters.
- Offline voters: Displayed on the right-hand side with the number of voters who are not logged in.
- Total voters: Shown in the center under "Total," reflecting the total number of voters in the selected list.
Below these counts, a table provides a detailed breakdown of individual voter statuses:
- Green checkmarks (✔️) indicate voters who are online.
- Red "X" marks (❌) indicate voters who are offline.
The Roll Call feature updates live, so any voter who logs in will immediately appear as online.
Why Use the Roll Call Feature?
Ensuring Quorum
The primary use case of this feature is monitoring quorum during votes. You can ensure that the minimum number of required voters is online to make decisions valid. This makes the feature essential for:
- General assemblies
- Board elections
- Votes requiring quorum compliance
Real-Time Insights
With real-time data, you can directly monitor voter activity and take action if necessary to encourage inactive voters to log in.
Improved Transparency
The clear overview of logged-in and offline voters builds trust and ensures transparency throughout the voting process.
Conclusion and Further Assistance
The Roll Call feature in NemoVote provides administrators with a real-time overview of voter activity, ensuring smooth and transparent election processes. Whether you're managing a small group or a large voter base, this tool simplifies tracking and troubleshooting.
